Michael Whyte, DDS
Dr. Michael Whyte is a native of Utah and Washington State. He received bachelor’s degrees in both Biology and Economics from Utah State University. He graduated from VCU School of Dentistry in 2013 and completed comprehensive Conscious Sedation Training and Certification in 2015.
Dr. Whyte’s passion for dentistry is centered in quality work, making connections with people, and alleviating any patients’ fear or anxiety of dental procedures. His key goal is to help his patients keep their teeth for a lifetime.
An avid believer of health and fitness, he enjoys rock climbing, camping, kayaking, hiking, and beachcombing. He especially enjoys doing these activities with his two daughters and his son, who are each equally adventurous.
Dr. Whyte is very personable and optimistic. He loves to laugh and often tells “dad jokes” while he works. He genuinely believes in the power of positivity to overcome obstacles, and in serving each of his patients with care and expertise.
Diane is a native Richmonder, she and her husband Frankie have been married 32 years. They have twins, a boy and a girl. She started out as a pediatric dental assistant and has worked in the dental field for over 30 years. Diane enjoys spending time with her family and loves to exercise, especially working out at Pure Barre.
Christine, RDH BSDH
Assistant Practice Manager, Whitening Specialist, Dental Hygienist
Christine attended Virginia Commonwealth University for her undergraduate studies, majoring in forensic science and Arabic. She graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at the VCU School of Dentistry in 2010. She received the Colgate STAR Award and has written several oral health articles, published in YourHealth magazine.
She has been with this practice for almost eight years and absolutely loves her profession. She sees hygiene patients at our office full time and also does our permanent in-office teeth whitening. In addition to her career, she also has a passion for fitness and enjoys working out at Orange Theory, almost every day.
In her free time, Christine travels the world on standby, thanks to her flight attendant sister. If you have Christine as your hygienist be sure to ask why she chose dental hygiene as her profession, which actually happened by chance!
JoAnne, RDH BSDH
Joanne graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at the VCU School of Dentistry in 1994. She lives in Mechanicsville with her husband, Brian, and two teenage sons. Joanne enjoys reading, serving at her church, and watching the boys swim and play baseball.
Heather has worked in the dental field for over 25 years. She comes to our practice from the VCU School of Dentistry specializing in Perio assisting, insurance billing and office management. She enjoys the daily interaction with patients and other team members. In her free time, she is a mom of 3 girls and a wife of 30 years.
Emily has worked in the dental field for nearly ten years. She comes to our practice from the VCU School of Dentistry. She enjoys putting a smile on our patients’ faces upon arrival and check out. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her precious daughter, Savannah, her husband, and their three puppies. Emily brightens up our office day after day, with her cheerful smile and friendly voice!
Sabrina recently graduated with an associate’s degree in dental assisting. Her favorite part about dentistry is making the patients feel comfortable during their visits. Sabrina enjoys staying active and hanging out with her son and husband. They love fitness, festivals, football games and family movie nights. Sabrina is such a sweet addition to our wonderful team!
Pam is completing her associate’s degree in applied science and her goal is to study Dental Hygiene at VCU. She is dedicated to community outreach and her favorite part about dentistry is helping patients feel and look their best! She enjoys supporting the arts, trying new food, and watching movies with her one-eyed cat. We are so excited to have Pam on our dental team!
