Why we want to do more than dentistry:
Parham Dental Group is more than just your average dental office. We believe in helping patients with their smiles as well as giving back to the community surrounding us.
One charity that is near and dear to our hearts is the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. We have had 5 out of our 9 team members who have had children in the Children’s Hospital of Richmond over the years, and have two in there currently. The Children’s Hospital helped Dr. Whyte’s daughter Emma with her kidneys last Fall.
Here is a short summary of his daughter’s experience:
When Emma started to experience some worrisome health concerns, our visit to a specialist only increased our feelings of fear and confusion. We requested a second opinion at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU and it completely changed our life. The staff and doctors were not only well-qualified and able to recognize the urgent and severe concerns facing our daughter, but they were also kind and compassionate to all of us. They cared for Emma’s feelings and fears during each step of the process of fixing her broken body. As we’ve gone through this difficult process of surgeries and imaging and testing and appointments, Emma has come to view the Children’s Hospital as a place of hope and comfort. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the Children’s Hospital, especially through dance- the only thing that has consistently buoyed Emma’s spirit as she continues on this journey.

Also, prior to the 7pm show Music and Medicine: The VCU Health Orchestra will be performing with soloist Pablo Talamante, US Army Choir.
